It is a big business opportunity to buy in wholesale and sell many of the home used items, grocery to many homes/families around you.
In this business, once a month supply, is the type of work that supplies the household needs. All you have to do is list the items they need for the month, buy them in wholesale rate, and deliver them to those houses, at retail rate.
By talking to wholesellers, you get goods at 10-30% lower prices. Considering your cost of transport, labour, packing etc you can also give your customers a 4-5% discount. In about 4-5 working days you get 8-10% cash profit.
Initially you have to invest some capital. Then,using this to get advance money from customers and / or credit from merchants, you can do the financial maths.
Make a list of acquaintances, friends and societies living within a radius of 1-2 km from you. Let them know your plan of such goods supply on WhatsApp, or groups groups. Talk to the people concerned. If you need to partner with someone, do it. Get started. Then check out the purchase price, make a list of the goods and their selling price and send it to your customers
Get purchase lists of customers by the 25th of the month, compile them in 2-3 days, and make a list of the total number , quantities of items to be purchased. Depending on where you can get cheaper and transportation costs will be lower, buy from 3-4 merchants and supply to houses, as per their orders by yourself or with a temporary person.
First of all, make a definite estimate sheet of purchase and sale price, transportation cost, wages etc and try it for 10-20 houses first. You can also then supply to 100-200 houses by learning from that experience. Assuming 100 houses buy from you worth Rs. 2000, on your turnover of Rs. 2 lakhs, about 10% of it Rs. 20,000 becomes your income, in 4-5 days work!
Gradually, you can start giving the following items as you see fit:
- Grocery
- Vegetables, fruits
- Spices
- Personal, home cleaning products
- Ayurvedic medicines, tonics
- Corona related products
- Educational, office materials
Then, by studying other needs, start with many other things. E.g. Mangoes, firecrackers, Ganpati Pooja Sets, Modak, Diwali Faral, other festival supplies and much more ....
